HIGH RIDGE, Mo. (KMOX) – Deputies with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the Wal-Mart in High Ridge about 10 p.m. Sunday for a report of stealing.

According to employees, a black man approximately 6 feet tall, 200 pounds with a stocky build, who was wearing a blue stocking hat, blue jacket, black pants and black and white tennis shoes, entered the store and retrieved a shopping cart before proceeding to the camping aisle where he removed a duffel bag.

The suspect then went to the electronics department and struck the glass display case with a hammer and removed seven to 10 iPods and iPads.

The suspect then ran from the store, leaving the area in a gray vehicle.
