ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – St. Louis city’s former police chief is now the state’s top law enforcement authority.
The Missouri Senate on Thursday confirmed Dan Isom as director of the Missouri Department of Public Safety.
Isom served as St. Louis police chief from 2008 to 2013.
Gov. Jay Nixon tapped him to lead the state’s top law enforcement agency in August, shortly after the unrest in Ferguson began.
He first joined the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department in 1988.
