Having caught our collective breath after yesterday’s Blues win, and enjoying the Cardinals’ victory as well, we began Sunday talking books, golf, The Fabulous Fox and more.
The Greater St. Louis Book Fair is coming up, and if you’re like us you may have to add some more bookshelves to your home! Volunteer Lisa Merenda previewed what’s on tap and told us about some of the unique and special books available. You can hear the list here.
Brian had the honor of talking with World Golf Hall of Famer Nick Price. He’s coming to town on April 27th to join Gary Player for a St. Louis Sports Hall of Fame dinner celebrating their wins at Bellerive Country Club. Nick won the PGA Championship there in 1992. Gary won the U.S. Open there in 1965. In the interview you can listen to or download here, Nick talks about the victory, whether golf course designers are evil (as Brian contends) and about Jordan Spieth and the current PGA Tour. Click here to find out more about the April 27th dinner.
The Fox unveiled its upcoming season Saturday. Harry Hamm reviews it and the new James Franco movie “True Story” here.
And among the birthdays we celebrated today were those of an Animal, a Turtle and a transvestite from Transylvania! You can hear them all here.
We hope you have a great finish to your weekend. We look forward to visiting with you again next weekend!
