ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Wentzville Police have arrested 10 seniors after three trees were uprooted and taken from inside the Holt High School near the cafeteria.

Wentzville acting Chief Kevin Pyatt told KMOX that they believe it was a senior prank and they will face serious consequences. It appears the seniors were going to replant the trees in the baseball field.

The seniors are facing burglary, property damage and even trespassing charges.

Pyatt says there was surveillance video available, but someone told others what happened and then contacted the police.

The trees are believed to have been 35 to 40 years old and about 45 feet tall. Other seniors are saying the suspected stunt was a little stupid and ignorant.
