CLARKSVILLE, MO. (KMOX) – Governor Nixon will get a first hand look at flooding in Lincoln and Pike Counties Saturday.
He’ll be in Clarksville and in Winfield.
Clarksville, in Pike County, sits right along the Mississippi River and once again Clarksville residents are fighting to keep flood waters from damaging the historic town. The Winfield area had as much as eight inches of rain leading to the over topping of levees, the flooding of homes and businesses and water rescues of more than thirty people.
The Governor has already directed the Missouri State Emergency Agency to provide resources to those communities.
