ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – The cold weather is just around the corner, and Laclede Gas is getting ready for the winter season.
Spokeswoman Jenny Gobble says this winter gas bill may be cheaper for consumers than last year.
“We have good news for Laclede Gas customers, and that’s that rates are going down right now,” Gobble says. “They’re actually going down enough to save customers $18 a month, and that’s going to add up to $92 this winter for average residential customers.”
Gobble says residents should set their thermostats to 68 degrees or lower if possible, because every degree above that uses 3 to 5 percent more energy.
