ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Show-Me Cannabis, the group pushing for legalization of pot, hopes an online commercial campaign will drum up support for medical marijuana.
The goal is to get a medicinal marijuana measure on the November 2016 ballot.
But Missouri’s Secretary of State must approve it, and Show-Me Cannabis needs 160,000 valid voter signatures to get the approval.
The online commercial title “Guilty” was released Monday.
“The commercial depicts various actors of all shapes and sizes, colors and creeds. And they are admitting guilt,” Allan Hug with Show-Me Cannabis says. “Basically for self medicating for various illnesses they might have.”
It was produced by local startup Gladitood.

Hug says actors were used in the ad to protect the privacy of actual users. Hug hopes to raise more money to eventually run commercial TV ads.
