ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Missouri Congressman Lacy Clay thinks Rams owner Stan Kroenke went too far in telling other league owners why he wants to move his team to Los Angeles. Clay is among the first of Missouri’s Congressional Delegation to publicly comment on Kroenke’s depiction.
Clay tells KMOX he was disappointed in what the Rams owner said in his application for relocation to Los Angeles.
“I think he may have gotten into it initially with the intent on moving this team,” Clay says. “It could have been a 20 year plan, I mean, look he’s a shrewd businessman.”
Clay says the Cardinals have shown Saint Louisans what a winning franchise looks like and tastes like, while Kroenke’s Rams have failed to do the same. He adds the city has been loyal to a team that have not been winning.
