On this first Saturday of March we learned about new guidelines for athletes with heart conditions and all about bush honeysuckle.

Washington University Cardiologist Dr. Alan Braverman co-authored new guidelines allowing some athletes with heart conditions to play competitive sports. Hear what he had to say here. For more information on the guidelines click here.

If you have bush honeysuckle in your yard, you’ll want to get rid of it. In fact, Sunday starts a week-long effort to eradicate 35,000 square feet of the plant in public spaces. Jean Ponzi with the Missouri Botanical Garden’s Earthways Center joined us to talk about it. You can hear our conversation here. Clicking here will get you more information on the plant and the eradication efforts.

Harry Hamm has seen Disney’s new animated feature “Zootopia”. His review is right here.

Among those celebrating birthdays Saturday are two athletes turned actors and twin singers who are willing to walk a long, long way. That list is here.

On Sunday, we’ll be talking with Dan Buck about his return to television! Plus, we’ll have the latest news, sports, weather and more.

Have a great Saturday! We’ll talk with you tomorrow!
