OAKVILLE, Mo. (KMOX) – A Mehlville School District bus called for assistance because of high water at Heintz Road, near Erb Road in Oakville.

The Mehlville School District reports that the bus driver felt uncomfortable driving through the flood waters on Heintz Road. A bus was transporting students to Oakville Middle School.

The Mehlville Fire Department and Swift Water Rescue Team responded to help guide the bus across the road.

“At no time were students at risk, and they all stayed safely on the bus. The students arrived at school in time for their first hour classes,” the district says in a news release.
