ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – One of the most passionate hockey fans at the St. Louis Blues vs. San Jose Sharks game Tuesday night will not be able to see the action, except through the eyes of his son.

A father and son from Saskatoon, Canada, will be attending the game as guests of the Blues.

Gerry Nelson and his son, Wyatt, were introduced to the world when the NHL produced a feature showing how Wyatt provides play-by-play for his dad, who lost his sight to diabetes.

Now, another surprise, courtesy of Blues General Manager Doug Armstrong and broadcaster Kelly Chase.

Armstrong and Chase called, asking the two to travel to St. Louis to enjoy a Stanley Cup playoff game.

In the video provided by the Blues, Chase tells Wyatt he’ll have to join himself and Chris Kerber in the Blues broadcast booth during the game.

Tune in to listen to Tuesday’s game on our sister station, Y98 FM, or kmox.com/listen.
