ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – The circuit attorney’s office wraps up its investigation of a fatal police shooting that happened during a robbery at a Kentucky Fried Chicken on south Grand in January.
The shooting took the life of the alleged robber, Crayton West.
No charges will be filed against police Sgt. Michael Pratt, who, according to the prosecutor, fired in self defense.
Pratt has been with the department more than 13 years. The chief of police issued a statement in support of the findings.
“I am confident their conclusion is the result of a comprehensive review of the incident and all of the facts and evidence presented,” Sam Dotson says.
