ST. LOUIS (KMOX/AP) – Photos of Mike Wallace and his daughter bloodied, beaten and in the back of an emergency vehicle were posted on Wallace’s Facebook page Sunday.
It says the Fenton, Missouri, native and his daughter were leaving a Rascal Flatts concert last Friday in North Carolina, when three men allegedly knocked him out cold and kicked his daughter, Lindsey.
Wallace said three men he had never met punched and kicked him.
Wallace said three front teeth were knocked a few inches into his mouth, and he has a black eye that is causing impaired vision. He also said he had to get 10 stitches in his lip.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police told local media three men have been arrested after the attack Friday night at the PNC Music Pavilion in Charlotte.
Police said 29-year-old Paul Lucas and 22-year-old Nathan Lucas, of Indian Trail, are charged with simple assault. Twenty-four-year-old Randolph Mangum of Monroe is charged with assault on a female.
They all made bail and have a July 22 court date.
Wallace and his daughter have reportedly been released from the hospital.
Wallace’s brother, Kenny Wallace, hasn’t stopped tweeting about the incident apparently since he heard about it.
He has shared the police records on the three assailants, the company they work for and the prayers being sent towards his brother and niece.
The Wallace family with their other brother, Rusty Wallace, are known as one of the best NASCAR families in history: Kenny is an analyst for Fox Sports. Mike was still racing in the 2015 season in the Sprint Cup and Xfinity series at Daytona International Speedway. Rusty is retired and a member of the NASCAR Hall of Fame.
The three brothers were all born in the St. Louis area.
