Former NFL wide receiver Isaac Bruce has gathered several of his former St. Louis Rams teammates for one last game on the turf at the dome downtown.
“Hopefully the stands are filled,” former quarterback Kurt Warner said Saturday night. “This is our last chance to really entertain this fan base that did such a great job of supporting us over the years.”
He doesn’t throw a football around much anymore, but Warner feels like he will still be able to hit his receivers like the old days.
“Let’s hope it’s like riding a bike that you never forget how to do it, but these guys will make me look great again,” Warner said.
Warner said it’s hard to believe the team he won a Super Bowl with won’t call St. Louis home anymore.
“I want to keep track of how many times I call the Rams the ‘St. Louis Rams’ when I get on NFL Network this year, because to me they’re synonymous with St. Louis,” Warner said. “It’s going to take some time for me to really understand the team’s not here, and they’re not coming back.”
The Legends of the Dome flag football game starts at 2 p.m. Saturday, and tickets will be available at the box office starting at 10 a.m.
