On this steamy Sunday we learned about a neat organization that helps the children of military members, got the lowdown on the new Star Trek movie, celebrated the birthdays of some very famous people and celebrated a whole family of holidays.

Little Patriots Embraced is a Kirkwood based organization that helps military families around the country. Their big fund raiser is “A Night with the King (Elvis)” which will be held July 30th at the Hollywood Casino Ballroom. Founder and Executive Director Carol Watanabe tells us all about it here.  To get tickets to the event call Jackie or Brittany at 314-821-5800. To find out more about Little Patriots Embraced, you can go to their website here.

Harry Hamm’s review this morning is of the newest movie in the Star Trek series. You can hear what he thinks of it here.

If you’re a cousin, aunt, parent or tequila lover today is you day! The list of off-beat holidays is here.

A lot of famous people are celebrating birthdays including Jennifer’s dad, a smashing comedian, Kramer, a Missouri Senator and a St. Louis Cardinal. We celebrate ’em all here.

Thank you for joining us this weekend. We’ll talk with you again next Saturday. Until then, have a great week!
