COLLINSVILLE, Ill. (KMOX) – Collinsville police are investigating the discovery of another body – this time in a trash container.

The victim has been identified as 48-year-old Douglas Delashmit.

Police say a concerned citizen called early this morning about Delashmit’s car, which was unoccupied at 1 Business Center Court. Police found Delashmit in the trash container.

He was known to collect recyclable items from trash bins.

Foul play is not suspected, though the cause of death is unknown. An autopsy is being performed today.

Last week, a body was found by the world’s largest Catsup bottle in Collinsville.
