COLLINSVILLE, Il. (KMOX) – An 8-year-old boy from Belleville collected a staggering amount of food for a local pantry, but he isn’t done yet.

The Belleville News-Democrat reports after Ethan Sheldon saw the Collinsville Food Pantry asking for donations on social media, he went door-to-door in his neighborhood and collected over 200 pounds of food in 3 hours.

Ethan then promised to drop off more food, saying he was going to get his school and friends to help.

Last night, Ethan held a sign at the Collinsville Shop ‘n Save on Vandalia Street asking for donations and got an additional 400 pounds of food. Now, Ethan’s total contribution to the Collinsville Food Pantry is 600 pounds of food.
