Megan Lynch @Mlynchonair Brian Kelly @brpkelly

It was a rare morning on KMOX, as Maria Keena was not on TIAM! With Maria covering news shifts later in the day, Megan Lynch sat in with Brian.

Their guests covered two very important topics: breast cancer and missing children.

With October being National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Brian and Megan visited with SSM Health/SLUCare breast cancer surgeon Dr. Theresa Schwartz. If you click here you’ll hear Dr. Schwartz talk about the latest recommendations for breast cancer exams and the latest treatments.

Saturday marks the 23rd anniversary of the kidnapping and murder of 12-year-old Polly Klaas. Today her father, Marc Klaas, is in Kirkwood for his annual Child Safety Day Event. Clicking here will take you to the interview where he offers advice for children and parents, and spells out what’s available at today’s event.

The KlaasKids Foundation Print-A-Thon is from 10 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Kirkwood Police Station, 131 W. Madison Avenue. For more information on the foundation, click here.

The new movie about the Gulf oil spill is in theaters. Harry Hamm has his review of “Deepwater Horizon” here.

Those celebrating birthdays today include a former president turning 92, a singing nanny and a former Cardinals’ slugger. That list is here.

Thanks for checking in today. Megan and Brian will be back again Sunday. Among our guests, will be Great Rivers Greenways Outreach Director Emma Klues, who will discuss a new par opening in Wellston.

Have a great day!

Megan and Brian
