ST. LOUIS (KMOX)– One of two women who were thrown from the Nissan Cube they were in when it was was rear-ended by a Dodge Charger on I-70 over the weekend, has died.

Marianne Olyslager-Maldonado, 23, a student at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, died last evening. The driver of the car that hit them near O’Fallon Park, jumped out and got into another vehicle. Marcus Jackson, 24, was arrested later at a hospital and has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident. More charges are now likely.

The others in the Cube were reported to be in stable condition.

The accident happened just after one o’clock Sunday morning.

Lindenwood University’s student news website, “Lindenlink” identifies the victims as students at the school’s St. Charles campus.
