We began this beautiful fall weekend talking about Scouting for Food, the Muny garage sale and Sheldon concert and birthday celebrations.

Today, Boy Scouts will be distributing Scouting for Food bags, which are to be filled up with non-perishable food items and left out for collection next Saturday. Greater St. Louis Area Boy Scouts Council CEO Ronald Green tells us all about it, including how a local scout started it all, here.  You can find out more here.

The area’s most unique garage sale takes place today. It’s the Muny’s second-ever garage sale, and it features costumes, set pieces and much more. Spokesman Kwofe Coleman has the details  here.

The Muny is also sponsoring another Muny Magic at the Sheldon, featuring performances by some of the Muny’s most popular performers. It’s November 16th and 17th. Producer Mike Isaacson has all the details here.

Among those celebrating birthdays today, the man who called “The Miracle on Ice”, a singer whose dad is a Hall of Fame hockey writer, a Cardinals pitcher and one of our favorites at KMOX. That list is here.

Here’s hoping you have a great day. We’ll be back tomorrow with all the information you need for a Sunday morning.
