ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – A race car driver from central Illinois says police found his trailer stolen from a Cahokia motel parking lot.

On his Facebook page, Robbie Bauman Jr. of Fairview, Ill. says Cahokia police notified him Saturday that the trailer had been towed to a city impound lot in St. Louis after being found illegally parked.

It was missing its license plate and had all of its contents removed, like car parts, tools, and racing gear.

Bauman was in the St. Louis area to race at the Gateway Dirt Nationals at the dome.

He says thieves also took his white 2004 Ford F-250 pick-up truck in Thursday morning’s incident. It has not been found.
