The Humane Society of Missouri (HSMO) is one of the oldest, largest, most respected animal welfare organizations in the United States ranking among the top five in the country. More than 80,000 animals and tens of thousands of children and adults benefit every year from HSMO’s life-saving, life-enriching programs and services. The Humane Society of Missouri receives no funding from the United Way; or any local, state or federal government entity; or any national animal welfare organizations. HSMO relies on support from private contributions, corporate and foundation grants and fees from services.
In late April 2017, HSMO will open its new Best Buddy Pet Center and Animal Medical Center of Mid-America (AMCMA) at Page Avenue and Schuetz Road in Maryland Heights. The center will feature adoptable animals in a colorful, inviting and interactive setting and the latest in veterinary treatments in an airy, open lobby and comfortable exam rooms.
Humane Society of Missouri programs and services include:
Adoption – Three, open-admission/100% adoption, full-service St. Louis area adoption centers find loving homes for more abused, neglected, unwanted animals than any other animal welfare organization in Missouri.
