KMOX, along with our sister stations Y98 and KEZK, will be holding a flood relief drive in association with the Teamsters at Schnucks off Butler Hill on Monday, May 8th.
Lead organizer and KMOX Host Charlie Brennan says the impact of this latest flooding has been incredibly widespread.
“Of course we’ve had a lot of water. Some people have homes and businesses that are engulfed in water and they are cleaning up,” Brennan says. “Because we did this for the flood victims in Louisiana, we thought ‘Hey, why not help the flood victims in our own backyard.”
Collections will take place from 8 am – 7 pm. KMOX will broadcast live in the morning and evening, while KEZK and Y-98 will go live from 10 am until 7 pm.
They are asking for the following items for the victims:
Canned food (non-perishable)
Rubber boots (new)
The American Red Cross will also be on site to collect monetary donations.
