ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – It’s not even October, but if you want a leg up on the hottest toys of the 2017 holiday season, toys review website TTPM has the list.

CBS News Business Analyst Jill Schlesinger says a 2016 favorite is back.

Last year’s big toy of the season was Hatchimals, and now parent company Spin Master is planning a major follow-up product known as “Hatchimals Surprise.”

While details remain shrouded in secrecy until October 6, TTPM predicts it will be a hit.

Also big this year: Fingerlings from WowWee — interactive baby monkeys that attach to your fingers, priced at a pretty reasonable $14.99.

Superheroes and Star Wars keep trending into the holidays, like the Imaginext DC Super Friends Batbot Xtreme from Fisher-Price. Kids will be able to build their own droid inspired by R2D2 with the Star Wars Droid Inventor Kit from LittleBits Inc., or play with a BB-8 droid that responds to you and follows you from Spin Master!

And we can’t forget to mention the release of an 80s and 90s favorite — the interactive story-telling teddy bear Teddy Ruxpin, from Wicked Cool Toys.
