ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Three masked gunmen making their getaway from a Crestwood gun store paused to fire four shots through the plate glass window of a nearby store where workers were on the phone trying to call police about the break-in.
Crestwood Police Chief Frank Arnoldy says the burglary at the Southern Armory in 9900 block of Watson Road early Monday morning is worse than other recent gun store break-ins.
“That kind of adds a whole new piece to it that I think all the other ones, so far, have just been burglaries; there’s been no one else involved in it,” he says. “This takes it to a new level.”
Arnoldy says there was also a gun store burglary overnight in the High Ridge area of Jefferson County. And — gun store burglaries in recent weeks in Arnold and Valley Park.
Our previous reporting is as follows:

This one happened at the Southern Armory. Crestwood police are not commenting on this particular case just yet as they’re trying to gather more information.
