ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – More than 400 names of kids who have been impacted by cancer will on the back of Jake Allen and Carter Hutton’s minds tonight. And they’ll be on the top, front and sides of their minds too.
The St. Louis Blues goalies are saluting hundreds of kids at Friday’s Hockey Fights Cancer game. The masks are a tribute to children who have battled cancer or succumbed to it.
We saw Allen’s mask in St. Louis’ locker room after their morning skate at Scottrade Center.
Allen’s mask was painted by Jason Livery of Head Strong Grafx and will be auctioned at the Blues’ Casino Night event in 2018 to benefit St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Hutton’s mask was created by Jesse Acciacca of Jesse’s Custom Designs. After the game, the mask will be donated to Friends of Kids with Cancer, who will auction the mask at a later date.
They host the Los Angeles Kings at 7 p.m., pregame can be heard at 6:30 on KMOX 1120AM or listen online at KMOX.com/Listen.
