ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – It’s “day four” of the nursing home workers strike at Christian Care Home in Ferguson.
SEIU member Brenda Davis, a certified medical technician, says they’ve heard nothing from building administrators about a willingness to come to the negotiating table.
“It’s dreadful … but then we have our happy times where we’re hugging each other and feeling really strong, but then we have weak moments, but we’re hanging in there,” she says.
Those administrators are also not commenting to media.
The union is seeking better wages and has filed an unfair labor practice charge against Christian Care Home. A rally is planned at five this evening with the St. Louis Labor Council president expected to speak.
