ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Another member of Congress is resigning amid sexual misconduct accusations. Arizona Representative Trent Franks said Thursday he will step down at the end of January. The sudden resignation announcement comes after the House Ethics Committee said it was investigating Franks after female staffers say he discussed surrogacy with them. CBS News Correspondent Anne-Marie Green has more.

“n a statement Franks said he never physically intimidated or intended to have sexual contact with any staff member. Franks and his wife have children who were conceived through surrogacy. The ethics committee had opened an investigation into the accusations. Franks said in the current climate he would be unable to get a fair hearing,” she says.
