The Family Resource Center is a non-profit group that provides therapy and support services to families and children in St. Louis City and in St. Louis, St. Charles and Jefferson Counties. Its mission is to strengthen families through therapy, education and support to stop or prevent child abuse. The Family Resource Center provides intensive treatment for young children to assist them in addressing emotional and behavioral therapy. The center also offers in-office and in-home therapy, individual and family therapy, parent mentoring and parent training classes meant to strengthen parenting skills and enhance communication between parents and children. The Family Resource Center provides these services at no cost to at-risk parents and children, and has more than 130 clinical, professional and administrative staff on hand to assist single parents and their children at any time.

Parents Without Partners (PWP) is an international non-profit that serves the interests of single parents and their children. PWP is one of the best resources for single moms in St. Louis, with chapters in the Metro East and West areas of town. PWP holds single mixer events for adults and also events that are family-oriented and meant to include children. The organization also offers recovery and counseling resources through e-books, pamphlets and group discussions. PWP also holds events throughout the month, including parties, meetings, pot-luck dinners and family activities such as trips to the local orchard. Dues are $40 per year, and membership entitles members to attend PWP activities and functions at any chapter throughout the United States and Canada.

Single Parents Support and Play Group

The Single Parents Support and Play Group is based online and offers single parents the opportunity to connect with other single parents in the metro area through play date outings. The group boasts more than 30 members that meet periodically throughout the month at locations around St. Louis such as the Magic House and the St. Louis Science Center.
