The downtown streets of St. Louis surrounding the Soldier’s Memorial come alive during Taste of St. Louis. Sample the food from top chefs in the area. Bring the entire family as Taste of St. Louis offers something for everyone. Have fun at the Kids Kitchen or feast from the best local restaurants at the Grand Tasting event. Revel in the Art and Wine Walk, sway to live music and cheer on the winner at the Chef Battle Royale. Savor a part of history in the event’s Greening and Sustainability (EGS) booths that eliminate plastic and aluminum by serving fountain drinks out of repurposed material, largely from the old Busch Stadium. Taste of St. Louis is open to all ages and is free, with a charge for some events.

Grand Tasting Event
Inside Rotunda at St. Louis City Hall

Hours: September 29 and September 30, 12 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. or 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Price: $80Choose between two exclusive 2.5-hour sessions held on both Saturday and Sunday for a total of four Grand Tasting Events with room for 500 attendees at each event. Come and taste the best offerings from between 15 to 20 St. Louis restaurants and the nine Chef Battle Royale competing restaurants. Meet Food Network’s Tom Pizzica and Travel Channel’s Mark DeCarlo in a private yet relaxing atmosphere. Enjoy chef demonstrations, cocktail mixology, wine and beer samplings, live music and giveaways. Your ticket price includes a reserved parking spot all day on Saturday or Sunday.

Sauce Magazine’s Restaurant Row
When: Daily during Taste of St. Louis
Price: $3 to $7 at each boothDiscover whatever your taste buds desire from gluten-free shrimp rangoons to Ethiopian cuisine or vegan delights. Mouth-watering foods to sample from 45 St. Louis-area restaurants are available daily throughout Taste of St. Louis in Sauce Magazine’s Restaurant Row. Stroll among the booths and decide which foods to experience. Bring plenty of cash as most booths accept cash only, although there will be an ATM on site.

Chef Battle Royale
Hours: Daily during Taste of St. Louis
Price: FreeWatch as the competition narrows between nine top St. Louis-area chefs, including the returning champion from the 2011 Taste of St. Louis Chef Battle Royale event. Cheer on your favorite chef in this progressive elimination showdown that will take part in seven, 45-minute shows daily throughout the course of Taste of St. Louis on the Culinary Stage, until a new champion is named. This challenge will begin with a preliminary round between two mystery chefs. Other competing chefs include Jason Tilford from Milagro Modern Mexican, Chris Lee of Hendricks, Kevin Taylor of Bistro 1130, Elizabeth Schuster of Scottish Arms, Carl Hazel of 1111 Mississippi, Brian Hale of Bella Milano and returning champ Wes Johnson of Fixe.

The Kids Kitchen
Hours: Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Price: FreeTaste of St. Louis is for everyone, including children. Visit the Kids Kitchen. Take part in educational cooking classes, watch performances from local Irish dancers and play at hands-on exhibits from the area’s child-friendly attractions such as the Magic House or St. Louis Science Center. All of the Kids Kitchen events are free.

Art & Wine Walk
Hours: Daily during Taste of St. Louis
Price: Tasting ticket or wine by the bottlePair a variety of wine selections with great works of art at the Art & Wine Walk. Purchase a tasting ticket or buy a bottle to pour as you pore over beautiful artwork. Walk leisurely through the St. Louis downtown street lined with fine works of art from local and national artists at this juried sidewalk art show. Choose from 100 wines from around the world to sip as you stroll.

Charter Center Stage
Hours: Daily with featured band on Saturday
Price: FreeFeast upon more than culinary delights as live music accents Taste of St. Louis daily. Dance and sing along like you’re one of the ‘Kids in the Street’ with music performed from The All-American Rejects previewing their newest album. Bop to the sounds that will delight the crowds as this year’s featured act on Saturday night. The winner of the Charter Center Stage Battle of the Bands will be the opening act. Additional local and national musical talents will perform throughout the weekend.

The Showcase Stage and Dining Area
Hours: Daily during Taste of St. Louis
Price: FreeSavor the aromas that will surround you. Relax for a while in this seating created solely for the purpose of taking it easy. Step away from the hustle and bustle and still enjoy live music, dining, culinary showcases and artist demonstrations in the Showcase Stage and Dining Area. Located just behind Restaurant Row, this relaxed atmosphere is a perfect place to sit back and take in the sights and sounds of the event.

The Marketplace
Hours: Daily during Taste of St. Louis
Price: FreeLet your food settle for a moment as you step into The Marketplace. This popular slice from Taste of St. Louis showcases local and national businesses in a fun, upbeat environment.
