ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – The Pujols Family Foundation is celebrating the success of its annual Christmas celebration benefit.
The charity started by Cardinals slugger Albert Pujols and his wife Deidre held its 6th-annual “O Night Divine” dinner, Saturday night, at the Chase Park Plaza.
Special guests included Chuck Berry, Lou Brock, Meadowlark Lemon, and many more.
The Pujols Family Foundation raises money for needy families in the Dominican Republic, as well as assistance for people with Down Syndrome in the St. Louis area.
This year alone, the Foundation began a cheer and dance camp for girls with Down Syndrome and started new youth baseball teams in some of the poorest areas of the Dominican.
Totals from Saturday’s event have not been released.
