EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. (KMOX) – Metro-East police are searching for three men they say drove a stolen church van into a cafe.
It happened around 3:00 a.m. Monday at the Earlean’s Cafe behind the Emerson Park MetroLink station in East St. Louis.
Security camera footage shows three men attempting to break into the cafe. When they didn’t initially succeed, they came back 30 minutes later and drove a van through the cafe.
No word on a motive, but police say there was damage to an ATM inside the cafe.
Earlean’s Cafe owner said this break-in is the third since February, but she will rebuild.
