Roving Gun Battle in Metro-East

BELLEVILLE, Ill. (KMOX) – Prosecutors have charged several men in connection with what police call a “roving gun battle” near Cahokia this past week.

Some are jailed. Some remain at large.

St. Clair County sheriff’s deputies say they’re looking for 22-year-old Marco Orr of Belleville and 18-year-old Davonte Crawford of Cahokia on weapons charges, as well as 27-year-old Demond Eckford of Cahokia, who’s being called a person of interest.

Jailed on $750 thousand bond for weapons charges include: 20-year-old Anthony Garner of Fairview Heights, 28-year-old Terrion Willis of East St. Louis, and 27-year-old Travon Shaw of Cahokia.

Nineteen-year-old Carlos Boey of Cahokia is charged with obstructing justice and jailed on $ 100 thousand bond.

Deputies say they’re also looking for a black 1994 Pontiac Firebird with an Illinois temporary plate of 689M735.

Anyone with information on the gun battle is asked to call Crimestoppers at 1-866-371-TIPS. A reward of up to $1000 is offered for anonymous information leading to arrests and convictions.
