Road Closures for St. Louis Marathon Announced

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – The city’s annual Go! St. Louis Marathon kicks off Sunday morning, a year after attracting 25,000 runners to the event. For commuters, that means a string of road and ramp closures though Interstates 44, 64/40 and 70 will remain open throughout the event along with Kingshighway and Manchester. A list of Sunday’s closures are below.

Downtown:

  • Chestnut, from Tucker to 15th will be closed all day
  • 13th from Market to Pine will be closed until 5 p.m.
  • Pine, from Tucker to 14th will be closed until 5 p.m.
  • Market, from Tucker to 18th Street will be closed from 4:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.
  • Market, from Tucker to Broadway will be closed from 6:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.
  • Broadway, from Market to Chouteau Avenue will be closed from 6:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.
  • Tucker, from Olive Boulevard to Chouteau will be closed from 6:30 a.m. to 8 a.m.
  • Olive, from Tucker to Lindell Boulevard will be closed from 6:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.
  • Lindell, from Olive to Vandeventer Avenue will be closed from 7 a.m. to 9:15 a.m.
  • Chouteau, between Tucker and Broadway will be closed from 6:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.
  • Broadway/Seventh Street, from Chouteau to Arsenal Street will be closed from 6:30 a.m. to 8:40 a.m.
  • Lynch Street, from Seventh to 13th will be closed from 6:30 a.m. to 8:40 a.m.
  • 12th Street, from Lynch to Victor Street will be closed from 6:30 a.m. to 8:40 a.m.
  • Victor, between 12th and 7th will be closed from 6:30 a.m. to 8:40 a.m.
  • Market, from 18th Street to Compton Avenue will be closed from 7:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.
  • Forest Park Ave. from Compton to Union will be closed from 7:15 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Vandeventer, from Forest Park Avenue to Lindell will be closed from 7:15 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Within Forest Park:

  • Union Drive, between Lindell and Grand Drive will be closed from 7:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
  • Grand between Jefferson Drive and Wells Drive will be closed from 7:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
  • Wells, between Macklind and McKinley will be closed from 7:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
  • McKinley, between Wells and Union will be closed from 7:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
  • Union, between McKinley and Theatre Drive will be closed from 7:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
  • Theatre, between Union and Cricket Drive will be closed from 7:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
  • Cricket, between Theatre and Grand will be closed from 7:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
  • Grand/Lagoon, between Cricket and Skinker Boulevard will be closed from 7:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
  • On Union, from Delmar to Lindell, there will be no southbound traffic from 8:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
  • On Delmar from Skinker to Union, there will be no eastbound traffic from 8:25 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.

Interstate ramps:

  • Westbound 64 at 21st (Exit 39A) will be closed from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Westbound 64 at 3000 Market (Exit 38B) will be closed from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Westbound 64 at Forest Park Parkway (Exit 38A) will be closed from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Westbound 64 at Chestnut Street (Exit 38D) will be closed from 6:30 to 10 a.m.
  • Eastbound 40 at Market/Bernard (Exit 37A) will be closed from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m.
