FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, Ill. (KMOX) – A long-time employee of a Southern Illinois bank has been accused of embezzling more than four million dollars.

56-year-old Mary S. Becker is named in the Grand Jury indictment.  She was Executive Vice President.

Prosecutors accuse of Becker of electronically transferring funds from Jersey State Bank in her own accounts, as well as inflating expenses and concealing money taken from CD’s.  Becker is also charged with providing false reports to bank officials and the FDIC.

Court documents indicate money could be traced to property… including Becker’s residence… two condos in Osage Beach, Missouri… a boat… vehicles… trailers… motorcycles and bank stock.

If convicted she faces up to 30 years in prison.
