Charges Filed Against Man Shot By City Police Officer

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) –  A man who was shot multiple times Tuesday night after allegedly pointing a gun at police officers now faces criminal charges.

22-year-old Anthony Doll is being held on $35,000 bond on two counts of unlawful use of a weapon.

Police responded to the 6200 block of North Pointe just after 9:30 pm Tuesday and found Doll armed with a gun.

He reportedly pointed the weapon at one of the officers, who fired at Doll, striking him several times.

Doll suffered serious injuries but has now been released from the hospital and transferred to jail.

The 32-year-old officer with 5-years experience on the St. Louis police force has been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation.
