Blagojevich Offers up Apologies, Again

CHICAGO (AP) __ Former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich has added to
his already long list of those he’s apologized to from the witness
stand at his corruption retrial.
During his fifth day testifying Thursday, Blagojevich added
Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan and U.S. Rep. Jesse Jackson
Jr. to his apologies list.
He’s heard on FBI wiretap recordings cursing them as he
discusses the pluses and minuses of appointing one of them to
President Barack Obama’s vacated U.S. Senate seat.
Blagojevich told jurors Thursday he’d “like to add (Madigan and
Jackson) to the list” along with “Russians and the Macedonians
and apologize to them.”
Earlier, he apologized about saying unflattering things about
Russia and the nation of Macedonia.
He’s also apologized to, among others, taxpayers, a Chicago
journalist and to jurors for his swearing.
