KENNETT, Mo. (AP) __ A southeast Missouri man is being credited with saving his 14-month-old daughter from their burning home.
The Kennett Daily Dunklin Democrat reports that Daniel and Jennifer Walton were doing yard work Tuesday when Daniel Walton noticed smoke coming from the home. He ran upstairs, grabbed his daughter and took her to safety outside.
Kennett Fire Marshall Scott Tutor says by the time Walton got out with the child, the home was engulfed in flames. Walton suffered minor burns to a leg, hand and ear.
