St. Louisan Dealt From Buffalo To Calgary

ST. PAUL, Minn. (KMOX/AP) — Defenseman Chris Butler is on the move.

The 6″1′ 203 lb. St. Louis, Mo. native was dealt Saturday from Buffalo to Calgary along with center Paul Byron, in exchange for defenseman Robyn Regehr, forward Ales Kotalik, and a 2012 2nd round pick.

Regehr, a 12-year veteran who has spent his entire NHL career with the Flames, waived his no-trade rights in order for the deal to be completed.

The 24-year-old Butler played college hockey at the University of Denver and was Buffalo’s 4th round draft pick in 2005.

He logged nine points and 26 penalty minutes for the Sabres last season.
