Worker Falls To His Death At ConocoPhillips Refinery

HARTFORD, Ill. (KMOX) –  A worker is dead after he fell from a large tank at the Conoco-Phillips refinery in Hartford Illinois  Tuesday afternoon.

38-year-old Bradley Edmund of Taylorville Illinois was doing routine maintenance when he fell about 45 feet from a metal scaffold.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is investigating the accident along with ConocoPhillips’ own safety team.

Edmund was actually employed by a contracting firm that was hired to work on the storage tank.
