JEFFERSON COUNTY, Mo. (KMOX) – No injuries reported in a rural Jefferson County house fire— but firefighters say family pets died in Sunday afternoon’s incident.
Rock Community firefighters were called to the 2200 block of Benton Drive, shortly after 2pm.
They saw intense flames coming from the back of the two-story residence.
Firefighters were able to get the situation under control quickly, but not before extensive damage was done.
A fire department spokesman says no one was home at the time of the fire, and the cause remains under investigation.
