POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. (KMOX) -  The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating Sunday’s death of a teen in a hit-&-run crash.

18-year-old Alexander Metzing was killed when his motorized scooter was struck from behind on Highway 142 in Butler County around 9:50 pm Sunday.

Witnesses told police that the driver who struck Metzing fled the scene in a dark blue truck.
