Fiery Hit & Run Crash Leaves Teen Seriously Injured

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Mo. (KMOX) -  A Franklin County teen’s been critically injured in a fiery hit-and-run crash in Franklin County late Tuesday.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 18-year-old Shanae Haynes of Villa Ridge was eastbound on I-44 when she was struck from behind by a vehicle that continued on without stopping.

Haynes’ car went off the highway and slammed into a rock bluff, overturned, then slid back onto the interstate and burst into flames.

Haynes had to be air-evac from the scene to Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur.
