ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Fifty-four people became American citizens, Friday, at a special  “Constitution Day” ceremony at the old courthouse in downtown St. Louis.

The group included petitioners from thirty-two countries.

Chief Justice of the Missouri State Supreme Court Richard Teitelman  spoke to the new citizens about what it means to be an  American.
