DALLAS (AP) - Michael Ryder had a power-play goal, and rookie Matt Fraser also scored to lift the Dallas Stars to a 3-2 preseason victory over the St. Louis Blues on Saturday night.

Ryder, signed as a free agent after winning the Stanley Cup with the Boston Bruins, connected on a one-timer off a feed from Loui Eriksson at 10:31 of the first period. Fraser struck on a rebound at 10:15
of the second to give Dallas (3-0) a 2-0 edge.

Andy McDonald scored for the Blues (3-2) at 11:51 of the second to cut the deficit to 2-1.

Raymond Sawada restored Dallas’ two-goal lead at 2:10 of the third. Alex Steen’s short-handed goal with 22.9 seconds left brought the Blues back within one.

Kari Lehtonen stopped 11 shots for Dallas before he was relieved by Andrew Raycroft midway through the second period.
