HUD Counselors Will Be Available Saturday in High Ridge for Troubled Homeowners
ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - If you are in foreclosure, or feel you are headed that way……help will be available Saturday in High Ridge.
Tom Nitzsche with Clear Point Credit Counseling Solutions says while the event is being held in Jefferson County, it’s open to all homeowners. There is some paper-work you will to bring
with you….a recent mortgage statement, two years worth of tax statements, proof of income for last 30 days, such as paycheck stubs, or if you are on Social Security or Disability, your award letter.
You should also bring a list of monthly debts…..you will be meeting with HUD approved housing counselors. It will be at the High Ridge Firehouse from 10 a-m to 4 p-m Saturday only.
If you can not make tomorrow’s event, help is still available. You can call 1-877-422-9043. You cab also visit jeffersoncountyonline.org for information on the housing task force. There are dedicated HUD counselors for Jefferson, St. Charles and St. Louis Counties. You can ask for in person counseling if you prefer, or they can assist you on the phone.
HUD counseling is provided in Arnold, House Springs and Hillsboro.
Saturday’s event is open to all residents, whether you live in Jefferson County or not. There will also be a representative from Senator Claire McCaskill’s office on hand.
