Most Free Illinois State Fair Concert Tickets Went To Broadcasters

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) Most of the nearly 2,000 free tickets state agencies
handed out for grandstand shows at the Illinois State Fair went to broadcasters
to give away as promotions. But the state agencies say they didn’t keep a list
of who got the tickets. Some cost as much as $40. Governor Pat Quinn’s office
says most of his were given to veterans and their families.
