Metro-East Man Charged With Knowingly Spreading HIV

COLLINSVILLE, Ill. (KMOX) — The Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office charged a Metro East man with knowingly spreading Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV).

Collinsville spokesman Tom Coppotelli said his department became aware of 26-year-old Patrick Wayne Gregory in late September. An investigation revealed that Gregory had criminally spread the potential deadly disease.

Gregory remains in custody at the Madison County Jail in Edwardsville on $100,000 bond.
