CHESTERFIELD, Mo. (KMOX) — The Missouri Public Service Commission wants consumers to be more educated. That’s why they’re holding “Utility Day” at the Chesterfield Mall today.
The PSC Chairman Kevin Gunn tells KMOX News, the reason for today’s first ever event is simple. Most customers get a chance to speak with their utility company when they have a problem or during a rate increase hearing
Gunn says because utility regulation is so complex, the agency wanted this to be a one-stop shop for ratepayers to get their questions answered and issues resolved with their investor owned utility.
At the event Ameren, Laclede Gas, and Missouri American Water will be on hand along with their attorney’s and Commission staff.
Today’s Utility Day runs from 10:30 to 7 p.m. in the lower level of the Chesterfield Mall near Macy’s.
