ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - The woman found dead in a room on the sixth floor at the Holiday Inn at Hampton and Interstate 44 Thursday morning has been identified.

Police say she is 29 year old Jenifer Goertzen of Morton, Illinois. That is near Peoria.

A housekeeper discovered the body in a bathtub.   Police say her wrists,  ankles and neck were bound and there was bruising on her face.

Gloria Bannister was staying in a room across the hall  and heard a woman and man’s voice. But all she could decipher was the female saying “get out.”

Bannister did contact police or the front desk because the disturbance was very  brief, she says, and she heard nothing else after that.
